When many people think about prayer and fasting, it is an uncomfortable subject that intimidates them because they focus on the pain and sacrifice it comes with. Generally, those who are not acquainted with prayer and fasting tend to calculate the amount of pain that it comes with but are oblivious to the great and pleasurable fruit of humbling oneself.
Every achievement in life however, comes when more focus is given to the end result of anything rather than the pain of the process. For instance, the reason why people wake up every morning, and give eight hours of their life to a job they do not like, is because they have put their focus on the fruit of their labour.
Prayer together with fasting works the same way, though at times it is painful to the body, there are spiritual, emotional and physical benefits to this sacrifice. When we fast, we exhale the flesh, and when we pray, we inhale the Holy Spirit. Payer coupled with fasting carries exponential power.
The contents of this book were inspired by the Holy Spirit through a dream that the Lord gave me in which He taught me about this important subject.
